Zafar Khan of Mahi Arts and Culture (MAAC) is a renowned name in Sydney. He and his team are determined to promote Pakistani artists within sub-continent overseas community living in Australia. Recently MAAC arranged beautiful ghazal evenings in Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra with Pakistani legend singer Ghulam Abbas, where Pakistani High Commissioner, Consul General (Sydney), Uzma Gillani (Pride of Performance) and many dignitaries came to support MAAC.
Now there is a good news for all lovers of Punjabi stage dramas living in Sydney and Melbourne……..
A team of highly in-demand comedy figures of Pakistan are arriving Australia to perform a fresh new Punjabi stage drama ‘Chak De Phattay’ (چک دے پھٹے) in both great cities of Downunder. Team includes wonderful comedians like Iftikhar Thakur, Aman Ullah, Amanat Chun, Nasir Chinioty, Megha, Raheela Malik and Mahnoor. Two shows will be presented in Sydney on 16th June (Saturday) and one show will be presented in Melbourne on 17th June (Sunday).
Mr. Zafar Khan has done a great job with the director Mr. Zawar Baloch to make sure that the best comedy could be provided on stage while maintaining a family atmosphere. Special consideration has been given to the script, which will arrest the audience. Tickets are available online at http://www.ticketmaster.com.au (Melbourne show) and http://www.thehillscentre.com.au (Sydney shows).
I recommend all my readers living in Sydney and Melbourne to watch this wonderful play. It is the first time that such a beautiful cultural event is being organised in Australia. Timings, ticket pricing and venue details can be seen in the picture above. So see you there!!!!!
